Robert Pattinson Defends Heath Ledger

According to a witness at the No on H8 show at The ­Improv in Hollywood on Dec. 16, Twilight star Robert Pattinson, 22, booed a comic who said, "Here's my impression of Heath Ledger," then collapsed and began faking convulsions.

(Ledger died of an accidental prescription drug overdose in January.)

"Robert and his friend went nuts yelling at him," the source tells Us Weekly. "[Pattinson screamed] f--k you! You suck!" But the actor -- who recently cut his famous hair -- went unrecognized by the performing comic.
"The comic didn’t know who it was, but I'm sure he found out later!" the source tells Us.

New Moon Synopsis + Release Date (not exact date)

In NEW MOON, Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) is devastated by the abrupt departure of her vampire love, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) but her spirit is rekindled by her growing friendship with the irresistible Jacob Black. Suddenly she finds herself drawn into the world of the werewolves, ancestral enemies of the vampires, and finds her loyalties tested. Production on NEW MOON is scheduled to begin in the coming months and the studio is planning to release the film towards the end of 2009 or early 2010.

Chris Weitz Directs New Moon

"I am honored to have been entrusted with shepherding 'New Moon' from the page to the screen," Chris said in a statement to Access. "The extraordinary world that Stephenie [Meyer] has created has millions of fans, and it will be my duty to protect on their behalf the characters, themes and story they love. "Ryan Seacrest, a name we never thought we'd ever mention here on Shock, chatted it up with Twilight star Kristen Stewart who told KiisFM that the inevitable sequel, New Moon, begins shooting in March. Summit Entertainment officially greenlit the sequel last week.

"A lot of the book takes place in Italy, and I think we're going to get to go to Italy, which is so cool," Stewart says. "For a while there, they were like, Oh, we don't know if we have the money, but now I think we may have the money!"

NEW MOON Excitement Begins!

"Summit Entertainment has shocked the industry, as Twilight grossed $35 million Friday ($7 million in midnight sneaks) and is on its way to sucking down $75 million or more when all is said and done. Twilight Synopsis
